May 25, 26 - We had a very good day of motoring/sailing yesterday, accomplishing 8.8 knots for awhile. Traveled 70 miles to anchor off Fisher Island, which is a little east of New London. Fisher island has a population of 3 to4 hundred, is part of New York State, though we are now past NY and Long Island. It has some very large dwellings. I was a bit discouraged yesterday after checking today's weather, and the captain said we would probably not be going anywhere due to high wind coming in our direction. So here we sit listening to the wind. I did make some delicious brown rice crispy desert with rice syrup, barley malt, toasted sesame seeds sunflower seeds pecans, and brown rice crispy cereal.
